Commission FAQs: Turn Trips Into Income

Quick answers to the most common “Wait, what?” moments.

If you’re wondering how commission works or what happens if someone changes dates, you’re in the right place.

How do users book through Curated?

Travellers can explore your Check-Ins, guides, and the spaces you love, then view live availability, room types, and rates directly on Curated. Once they’ve chosen their dates and room, they’re redirected to book directly with the hotel — no middlemen, no extra fees, no weird surprises.

It’s seamless discovery → instant clarity → direct booking.

And every booking that starts through your content is tracked back to you.

What counts as a creator-driven booking?

A booking is considered creator-driven when someone books a stay through your Check-In or guide, rather than simply exploring a space listing.

If your content is the moment that inspires someone to click “Book” — that’s your booking.

Once the hotel confirms the stay has gone ahead, the booking becomes eligible for commission.

Your storytelling → their trip → your earnings.

How much commission do I earn?

You earn 5% of the total booking value for every stay driven through your content.

Whether it's a one-night city break or a week-long summer escape — if your content sparked the decision, you get a percentage of the full booking.

Big or small, every trip you inspire adds up.

When does commission get paid?

At the end of every month, we automatically pay out all confirmed commission you've earned that month — as long as you’ve reached the £50 minimum.

If you haven’t hit the threshold yet, no stress. Your commission simply rolls over to the next month until it’s ready to drop into your account.

The moment your audience checks in, your earnings begin.

Is there a maximum amount of commission I can earn?

Not even close.

Commission on Curated is completely uncapped — meaning the more bookings you inspire, the more you earn.

If your content goes viral and hundreds of people book? Amazing. You get paid on every single one.

Your earnings grow with your influence, not with limits.

What happens if a booking gets cancelled?

If a guest fully cancels their stay, the booking isn’t commissionable — the hotel didn’t get the revenue, so neither can we.

BUT: we always work closely with our spaces to encourage reschedules over cancellations, so commission can still be earned later if the stay moves to a new date.

No one likes a cancellation — but we’ll try to keep your hard-earned bookings alive.

What if someone has saved a space from multiple creators? Who gets the commission?

Curated uses a last-click attribution model.

That means the creator who owns the last piece of content the traveller viewed before booking gets the commission.

If your Check-In, guide, or story link was the final nudge that persuaded them to book — the commission is yours.

Can I earn commission from any space?

We already have active commercial agreements with 100+ spaces, and we’re onboarding new ones every week.

If you partner with or discover a space we haven’t added yet, you can still create your Check-In — and we’ll reach out to get them onboarded so your bookings can be tracked and paid.

Your taste helps shape the platform. If you love a space, we want it here.

How can I earn more commission?

Two powerful routes:

1. Drive more bookings with your content

Share your Check-Ins and guides across TikTok, Instagram, blogs & newsletters

Mention your Curated profile in your Stories and bios

Keep your “link in bio” updated with your Curated page

Reshare trips seasonally — “Where to book for autumn”, “My summer escapes”, etc.

The more people you bring into your world on Curated, the more you earn.

2. Refer spaces

Know a hotel owner, GM, PR, or someone who runs a beautiful stay?

Refer them through your dashboard and earn 1% of their first-year bookings if they join Curated.

It’s the ultimate passive income stream — one great introduction can turn into a year of earnings.
