Terms Update: Summary of Changes

What's changed in our Terms & Conditions

Updated 28 October 2026.

Curated has grown a lot this year, with retreats, Gatherings and many more collaborations, so we've refreshed our Terms & Conditions to keep things clear and fair for everyone. Here's what's new.

For everyone

  • Retreats are now part of Curated. Retreat hosts can list their retreats, and stays can be introduced to retreats and group bookings as venues.

  • Profiles from public information. We sometimes create profiles for stays, retreats and creators using public information. You can claim, correct or ask us to remove yours at any time.

  • Account reviews. We regularly review profiles and activity to keep the community reliable, and we've set out what that involves and what can happen as a result.

  • Tidier terms. We've merged duplicate sections, replaced a US copyright clause with a UK one, and made the wording plainer throughout.

For stays

  • Confirmed collaborations are an agreement. Once you and a creator confirm a collaboration, the dates and deliverables on the collaboration record are the agreement between you. That includes the check-in post.

  • Cancellations. We ask that neither side cancels with less than 7 days' notice, or your own guest cancellation policy if that's longer. Late cancellations trigger a review of the cancelling account.

  • Content. If your plan includes Curated Studio, or you're on a commission-based plan, you can reuse five images or videos from the check-in post of each collaboration arranged through Curated, on your own organic social channels and credited to the creator, plus anything else you agree with them. We've set out clearly what that does and doesn't include.

  • Retreat and group introductions. If we introduce you to a retreat host or group and they confirm a booking with you, a commission applies at the rate shown in your plan or when you accept the request.

  • Plans and renewals. We've explained how renewals, discounts and plan changes work, including what happens if a plan you're on is retired.

For creators

  • Check-in posts. Please publish your check-in post within 14 days of your stay. The stay can reuse five images or videos from it, credited to you, and these rights stay in place even if the post is later deleted.

  • Cancellations. Please give at least 7 days' notice, or the stay's guest cancellation policy if that's longer. Late cancellations trigger an account review, and more than one can mean removal from Curated.

  • Creator Standards. We've set out what we expect: replying to proposals, honouring confirmed collaborations and delivering on time.

  • Commission. Commission only applies at stays on a commission plan, or where you agree an affiliate arrangement with a stay.

  • Minimum age. You need to be 18 or over to have a Curated account.

For retreat hosts

  • Listings. Every listed retreat is included in at least one round-up on Curated's Instagram.

  • Add-ons. Spotlight and Last-minute push are paid features on Instagram, and they're non-refundable.

  • Venue sourcing. Finding you a venue is free. Any venue agreement is between you and the venue.

  • Your retreat, your responsibility. You're responsible for running your retreat safely and legally, and guests book on your own terms.
